The following nine points must be strictly observed before starting the hollow blow molding machine:
1. Turn on the cooling water for the cooling barrel to prevent jamming between the screw and barrel.
2. Preheat hydraulic oil. If the hydraulic oil temperature in the oil tank of the hollow blow molding machine is too low, turn on the heater immediately, which is generally equipped on large-sized machines.
3. Press the start button and stop the machine immediately to check whether the pump rotates in the correct direction. If the rotation direction is incorrect, swap two power supply wires connected to the motor.
4. Start the machine when the hydraulic system is pressure-free. After startup, adjust the pressure of the overflow system of each pump to the safe value. Large injection blow molding machines are usually equipped with two pressure systems: one for the mold clamping unit and the other for the injection unit, each fitted with a pressure relief valve. The pressure relief valve must be opened when the pump stops and closed when the pump is running.
5. Adjust the positions of all travel switches to ensure smooth movement of the moving mold plate.
6. Close all safety gates. According to safety protection requirements, all safety gates shall remain closed during machine operation. For large hollow blow molding machines, mold clamping movement will be blocked once any safety gate is opened; if another safety gate is further opened, the oil pump will stop working.
7. Switch on the heating and temperature control system.
8. Before installing the mold, thoroughly clean the mold surface and the contact surface between the mold and the mold plate of the hollow blow molding machine.
9. Turn on the main switch on the operation cabinet of the hollow blow molding machine, and shift the operation selector switch to jog or manual mode. Check anti-rust oil, hydraulic oil and lubricating oil.
